Your child is really lucky to have a birthday around Easter time. They can wear their adorable Easter bunny costume and everyone will love it! All the kids invited to the party can wear Easter themed costumes – bunnies, chicks, eggs(!), Easter bonnets, just let your imagination run wild.
Especially for a first birthday party, babies are adorable dressed as a baby bunny. Mama and Papa bunny also have cute costume selections as well. Be sure to take lots of pictures, because this is a mega “photo op”.
This holiday is so colorful and easy to accessorize. From the balloons and party decor, to the costumes, tableware and party favors – Easter is always a hit.
Picture Taking
When little kids are dressed in cute costumes and outfits – this is the perfect time to take some fantastic digital photos. You can print them up on your instant photo printer, or even your ink jet printer. The children can decorate a simple cardboard frame for a 4×6 photo. Then the glue should be dry by the time you have someone print the photos and insert them into the frames so the kids can take their photo home with them.
Remember to take a group shot, because this is sure to be a treasured momento from this special party.
Easter Crafts
It’s easy to set up a craft table for the kids to keep them occupied. Coloring sheets, and gluing colorful ribbons, feathers, glitter and sequins on baskets and photo frames make treasured keepsakes.
Another craft idea if there are a lot of girls at the party, is to decorate Easter Bonnets. Buy cheap floppy hats, and decorate with ribbons, flowers, feathers, and sparkly accessories. Have an adult hand-baste items to the hat with heavy thread, or to be really speedy – just staple gun them on. Then after everybody is done decorating their hats, have an “Easter Parade” with lively music. Be sure to video tape it, and then have the kids watch it back. They get a real kick out of seeing themselves in a “movie”!
Easter Egg Hunt
It seems almost mandatory to have an Easter egg hunt! Maybe you can let the kids color eggs in the beginning of the party, and then let the adults go hide them while the kids eat lunch.
Pinata
A bunny or egg pinata will be the perfect highlight and ending to your party. The kids will gather up all their loot in their decorated baskets and then head home!
More Theme Parties

You’ll always have a great time. Just be sure to have your friends and relatives help, so you don’t have to do all this by yourself. Everybody loves to be a part of an adorable group project like this.
